Riyadh Air CEO Tony Douglas joins industry leaders for 56th AACO AGM

RIYADH, SAUDI ARABIA: Riyadh Air made its first appearance at the AACO AGM, held in Riyadh, as we look ahead to our maiden flight in 2025. The 56th Arab Air Carriers’ Organization (AACO) AGM was a great opportunity to meet with colleagues, partners and friends from across the region’s aviation industry. 

Gathering at the Crown Plaza RDC, CEOs and leaders from air travel spoke on a variety of topics and strategies that are shaping the future of the industry from new technology, sustainability, market trends and economic impact.

Tony Douglas, CEO, Riyadh Air, had the honor of being invited to take part in an insightful panel discussion where esteemed guests joined him in tackling important industry issues.

Mr. Douglas was joined by Mr. Mohamad A. El-Hout, Chairman - Director General, Middle East Airlines - Air Liban, Mr. Abdelhamid Addou, Chairman and CEO, Royal Air Maroc, Eng. Samer Majali, Vice Chairman and Board Designee CEO of Royal Jordanian and Mr. Adel Al Redha, CEO, Emirates Airlines. Richard Quest, news anchor and correspondent of CNN, moderated the event.

It was an excellent opportunity for Riyadh Air to properly introduce ourselves, while answering questions and sharing our exciting plans that are in place,” said Mr. Douglas.

The AACO AGM was held under the patronage of H.E. Eng. Saleh Al-Jasser, Minister of Transport and Logistic Services, and by invitation of H.E. Eng. Ibrahim Al Omar, Director General of Saudia and Chairman of the 56th AACO AGM.
